As part of our 18th birthday celebration in November 2021, we invited our shoppers to nominate organisations in Mitchells Plain doing important work in the community. A share of R18 000 was gifted to the top three charities shaping our community.
This month, we are proud to spotlight Kingdom Foundation Investors, a non-profit organisation based in Rocklands, running various outreach programmes to assist individuals in vulnerable communities.
From a feeding programme, serving cooked meals up to three times each week, to transporting pensioners freely to and from hospital for their check-ups and to Home Affairs to receive their much-needed SASSA grant, founders Gerome and Charlene Hendricks also collect and distribute previously-worn clothing to those in nearby farms and surrounding communities.
With a focus to uplift the most vulnerable and to not give up, we salute the Kingdom Foundation Investors team for the tireless dedication shown daily.
