Fudgy Waffle Brownies
Celebrate Waffle Day with these delectable Fudgy Waffle Brownies. With the perfect texture and sweet goodness, you’ll definitely want seconds – there’s no crime in having two (or more) waffles on Waffle Day. Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter, cubed
- 1 bar (100g) chocolate (50% to 60% cacao), chopped
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ice cream and berries, optional
Directions
- Preheat your waffle iron.
- In a saucepan, heat butter and chocolate on medium-low heat until melted and smooth, while stirring. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Whisk in egg and vanilla until combined. Stir in milk.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Stir into butter mixture until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spray waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of batter, close the waffle maker and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until just set and crisp around the edges. With the edge of a thin silicone spatula, cut waffle into quarters and gently lift each quarter from the waffle maker. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve with ice cream and berries, if desired.
